Almond Puff Pastry

Puff Pastry
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
Mix together until crumbly then add
3 tbsp cold water

Mix until pastry holds together in a ball.
Separate into 2 balls, pat each onto an ungreased 4" x 10" cookie sheet

1-1/2 to 2 cups confectioners sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp almond extract
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
Bring to full rolling boil. Remove from heat.

Add 1 cup flour all at once.
Stir vigorously and becomes a ball.
Add 1 tbsp Almond extract and 3 eggs all at once.
Beat with a spoon until it is smooth and shiny. It takes a few minutes for this step.
Spread this mixture onto crust. A few hills and valleys makes an attractive pastry.

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown.
